The MASTer Recycler: The Original Pallet Nailing Machine Built for 100% Reclaimed Material

The MASTer Recycler Pallet Nailing Machine is the original nailing machine engineered specifically to build pallets from fully recycled or reclaimed material. Its unique design allows operators to place top and bottom boards of varying widths and thicknesses directly onto recycled, reclaimed, or new stringers—without adjustments or special input. Pallets with different deck board sizes can be built back-to-back seamlessly, enabling full use of reclaimed materials that were traditionally assembled only by hand.

Our one-of-a-kind pallet flipper integrates perfectly with the MASTer Recycler. It automatically flips the pallet from the bottom deck to the top as part of the machine’s natural flow. While the pallet is being flipped, the operator gathers deck boards for the top deck and places them directly onto the flipped pallet—streamlining the process and saving time.

Master Recycler Models:

Production Expectations & Operators

• Production varies with pallet configuration, operator work ethic, and lumber quality. 
• Typical production rates when building GMA pallets are 400 to 500 pallets per shift.

Lumber Types

• Reclaimed/Recycled Deck Boards
  • The deck boards should be sorted before they are presented to the operators. Operators should be building pallets, not sorting lumber.
  • Good sorting includes providing deck boards that are within 1/8” of the desired length, and no more than 3/8” difference in the thickness.
  • 1/2” to 5/8” is good, and 1/2” to 3/4″ is more difficult. 
  • Deck board widths can vary.
• Reclaimed Runners
  • The runners should also be well sorted. Clean dismantling is helpful, but not required .
  • Runner height and length should be within 1/8” to build a quality pallet.
• New Softwoods & Hardwoods.
• #1 and #2 grade lumber.

Nails and Nail Guns

• All of our nailing machines utilize pneumatic nail guns and 15-degree high-load/large coil nails. 
• Typical nail sizes range from 1-3/4″ to 2-1/4″, and diameters between .099 to .113, application-dependent.

Custom Sizes & Solutions

• We can modify the Master Recycler to build different specifications.
• Custom nail gun firing system is available for one-way/flim-flam/zig-zap pallets that are built with top deck boards that are half the length of the rest of the deck boards. Contact us for more information.
• Our standard machines are capable of building several different specifications out of the gate.
• 30″ L x 30″ W, 3-stringer pallets are the minimum with the flipper turned ON.
• 30″ L x 26″ W, 3-stringer pallets are the minimum with the flipper turned OFF.
• Ink coders are available for the standard machine stacker. The ink coders can apply a 1″ tall character or stamp, or an optional 2″ tall character or stamp.
